Ben Pearson: To see out season at Barnsley

Barnsley midfielder Ben Pearson has extended his loan spell at the club until the end of the season.

Pearson, who agreed to stay for a further month in February after arriving from Manchester United in January, will now remain at Oakwell until May 3.

The 20-year-old, yet to make a senior appearance for United, has played a key role in Barnsley's climb away from relegation danger to the verge of a play-off place in recent weeks.

His last five appearances for Barnsley - he has made 12 in total - have all ended in victory, while the Reds have not conceded a goal during that sequence.
