Cambridge: Shut out Manchester United at the Abbey Stadium

Manchester United host League Two Cambridge United on Tuesday night as they aim to avoid an upset in their FA Cup fourth-round replay.

Louis van Gaal’s men were held to a goalless draw by the lowest-ranked team left in the cup on January 24, but will be expected to seal progress with victory at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils beat Leicester 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday as they moved up to third in the table, while Cambridge lost 3-2 at Luton as they dropped to 14th in League Two.

United will again be without Michael Carrick, who was ruled out before the weekend with a muscle injury that is likely to keep him out for four weeks.

With a tricky trip to West Ham to come on Sunday, Van Gaal may choose to rotate his team slightly for the visit of Richard Money’s side.

Ashley Young is nearing a return from a hamstring injury, while Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling could also be in line for a comeback.

The visitors, meanwhile, are without Liam Hughes, who injured an ankle in the first match at the Abbey Stadium, while Harrison Dunk is out for up to six weeks with knee ligament damage suffered in last Tuesday’s clash with Dagenham.
